What you do
The newt is expired, the lights are a suggestion, and every treatment has to be pre-authorized by Hexcare Mutual, who would rather the patient became a chair. Cure people anyway. Or at least bill for it.
Everything is physical and everything is heard: you carry the equipment, you shout across the ward, and proximity voice means the patient can hear you discussing what you are about to try. Four people make it a farce. One person makes it a horror game.
The microphone
The insurer answers a wall radio, and you answer it out loud. Recognition runs offline on your own computer, knows a few dozen words, stores nothing and sends nothing — and it can be switched off without closing any part of the game. The detail is in the game’s privacy notice.
Where it stands
In development, and earlier than Hex Ward. The networking and the physics carry work; the content does not yet.
